Phila. School District to get some federal funds

Pennsylvania received $41.3 million, half of which will be doled out to school districts across the state, said Tim Eller, a spokesman for the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The money is intended to support changes to the educational system advocated by the Obama administration and to bolster science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education. - Susan Snyder
