Two more charged in Cinnaminson probe

Theft and other charges were announced Thursday against two relatives of defendants in a Cinnaminson Sewerage Authority corruption probe, bringing to 10 the number of people accused in the scheme.

Scott Mayes, 53, of Delran, an authority electrician, used a rented mini-excavator at his home and had the agency cover the $480 cost, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office and Cinnaminson police. He is the brother-in-law of authority superintendent Paul Phillips and the father of Scott D. Mayes Jr., who are both also charged.

Shawn Lehman, 24, of Cinnaminson, was accused of receiving motorcycle parts, including two new tires, as part of a scam that used false invoices to get personal items paid for by a sewerage authority fund. Two of Lehman's brothers and his father also have been charged.
