Man found shot and killed near Philly's Norris Square Park

According to police, the man was found dead from a single gunshot wound to the head just before 9 p.m. on the 2100 block of North Hancock Street.

A 33-year-old Hispanic man was fatally shot Sunday steps away from Norris Square Park in North Philadelphia.

According to police, the man was found dead from a single gunshot wound to the head just before 9 p.m. on the 2100 block of North Hancock Street, near the intersection of Diamond Street.

Investigators had not released the man's identity, recovered the weapon, or made any arrests in the case as of late Sunday evening.
