Barbara Erie Deiter Drill, 59, formerly of Richboro, Bucks County, died Thursday, April 19, at Baptist Medical Center/South in Jacksonville, Fla., of colon cancer.

A graduate of Abington High School, Mrs. Drill was licensed as a certified public accountant in Florida and Pennsylvania after graduating with a master's degree in business management from Central Michigan University. At the time of her death, she was director of finance for ElderSource and had more than 20 years of experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for clients.

"Barbara Drill was a true ayshit chayil, 'woman of valor' — selfless and generous in her giving, loved by all — family, friends, and coworkers. She will be missed, but remembered always," said Linda Levin, chief executive officer of ElderSource.

"She never hurt anyone, never said unkind words, and was head of the line to help anyone," said her husband, Herb, a retired Inquirer obituary writer.

"Barb epitomized the meaning of family and loved to bring her family together for a home-cooked meal and a loving embrace," her sister, Deborah Erie, added.

Mrs. Drill was an ardent Phillies and Eagles fan. She was an active member of Hadassah, the Zionist women's organization, and of Congregation Kehillah Chadashah in Jacksonville.

In addition to her husband and sister, Mrs. Drill is survived by her mother, Ruth Erie; sons Avi Deiter and Brian Deiter; a daughter, Ilana Hiller; seven grandchildren; and a nephew.

Services and burial were Sunday, April 22.
