Letters: Bloody bad move, 'HYY!

IT'S NOT bad enough that there's been nothing of real value on the boob tube for many moons - now public TV will soon follow suit with WHYY ending its airing of British sitcoms on June 29.

I can watch the same episodes of "Keeping Up Appearances," "Are You Being Served," "Blackadder" and the like over and over again because that's what's called entertainment, as opposed to watching two or three concerts masquerading as culture. While WHYY is at it, why don't they just cancel the BBC news, too, so they can alienate what few viewers and contributors that remain?

Who needs TV when there's tons of good books to read?
