Letters: Hurting the poorest

WHY IS IT that every time there are budget cuts, it's always the neighborhoods that are mostly low income that are affected the most? The parents of these children can't afford to take them to Wildwood or other places for recreation.

WHY IS IT that every time there are budget cuts, it's always the neighborhoods that are mostly low income that are affected the most? The parents of these children can't afford to take them to Wildwood or other places for recreation.

Give them a break and open the pools. If they have to go to other neighborhoods, they could be assaulted or robbed, maybe even killed, because of the "turf rules" about traveling to other neighborhoods.
