Letters: How's he doing? Not so hot

INSTEAD OF BEING a true leader and working with City Council, Mayor Nutter acts like a spoiled child and now wants to cut libraries, police and fire, the most important items to people - even when it is reported that the city has a $42 million surplus.

INSTEAD OF BEING a true leader and working with City Council, Mayor Nutter acts like a spoiled child and now wants to cut libraries, police and fire, the most important items to people - even when it is reported that the city has a $42 million surplus.

Mayor Nutter complained about how bad the Board of Revision of Taxes was - and then he turns around and raises the real-estate tax 9.9 percent - with the same old "bad" assessments.

The mayor spends political capital to try to fight the firefighters union from staying with the paramedics. I'm sure there are other more important things on the mayor's plate than worrying about which people are in what union.

So the more I see of the "New Day, New Way," the more I yearn for the days before Mayor Nutter.
