Letters: Philadelphia fire department cuts are the real life & death issue

RE THE recent letters about "Dancing With the Stars": I don't think that anyone died because Jennifer Grey outscored Bristol Palin. But there's continued death and destruction in Philadelphia due to the fire department cuts. When fire deaths were down, the mayor leaped at the chance to slash fire protection. What will he do now that deaths are on the rise?
