Today's Rushmore

MY MOUNT Rushmore cartoon of a week ago elicited many thoughts on who should (or should not) be included.

Some liked the four I included (Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Teresa).

Here's a selection of alternatives:

* Eleanor Roosevelt (several nods)

* Maria Montessori

* Joe Hill

* John Paul II (several nods)

* Dalai Lama

* Ronald Reagan

* Franklin D. Roosevelt

* Churchill (with several chiming in against him)

* Jon Stewart

Clearly the last one is inappropriate. He's so twenty-first century!
