ISSUE | PUBLIC SAFETY Stellar police work An Abington police officer deserved front-page coverage for wrestling away a man's handgun and handcuffing him ("Abington police defuse attempt at suicide by cop," Tuesday). The officer's actions were especially praiseworthy considering the poor reputation that too many of his fellow officers across the country have these days. May his tribe increase.
