The Gershman Y will celebrate Hanukkah by serving up more than 3,000 latkes at its Sixth Annual Latkepalooza from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Visitors can sample traditional food prepared by local chefs. More than 12 restaurants and markets will participate, including Jones, Max & David's, and Whole Foods Market.

Along with potato pancake creations, families can enjoy entertainment by Nashirah, the Jewish Chorale of Greater Philadelphia, arts and crafts, face-painting, and a magician.

Shop to support Girls Rock

Girls Rock Philly and the Mew Gallery will host Shop, Rock & Roll from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Old Pine Community Center. The holiday craft bazaar will benefit Girls Rock Philly, a weeklong summer day camp for girls 9 to 17.

Artists and crafters participating include Lance Pawling, selling doll's-head tissue-box covers, and Jim Horwat, selling prints from his Philadelphia cheesesteak series. Julia Curcio of Yarn Beast will offer crocheted ornaments, hats and scarves.

At crafting stations families can create stocking stuffers. Entertainment is scheduled by Girls Rock Philly camper DJ Sassafras and camper band Iron Tree.

Museum flips for Santa

Garden State Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill will host Pancake Breakfast With Santa on Saturday in three hour-long sessions.

Families can register to visit and eat with Santa, listen to stories about the North Pole, and enjoy the museum's play areas and exhibits.
