Gess, Corgliano place at national meet

Gess, a Haddonfield freshman who won the New Jersey Meet of Champions in November, finished the three-mile course in 13th place in 17 minutes, 51.6 seconds - best among freshman girls.

Corgliano, a Hammonton senior who was third at the Meet of Champions, placed 24th in the boys' race in 15:50.

Corgliano is deciding among Clemson, Maryland, Syracuse, and Fairfield for where he will run in college.

Grant Fisher, a junior from Grand Blanc in Michigan, won the boys' race in 15:06.5.

Abington Heights senior Tessa Barrett, from Pennsylvania, captured the girls' race, finishing in 17:15.4.
