Last week, ESPN went into full-alert mode when news broke that Chip Kelly and the Eagles brought in Tim Tebow for a workout. Of course, he was barely out of town before Zach Berman reported no deal was imminent, but that didn't stop days of debate over the possibility of Tebow ending up as the team's third stringer.
"I've always been a fan of Tim," Chip Kelly reportedly told the NFL Network today during the NFL's annual owners meeting. "It's getting an exposure to a player so that when you have to make a decision and say 'Hey, what are we going to do now. You say, I don't know anything about these players. Let's bring them in and work them out, and it may be too late at that point in time.' So all we're doing is just doing our homework."
So it seems like Kelly may still be Tebowing a bit, which is bad news for Matt Barkely, but good news for @jbgb080109, who is the winner of this week's caption contest.
Here are the runner-ups:
"He's praying to St. Arthroscopis, the patron saint of torn ACLs." – Dana Graf

"Isn't it ironic that the first person to take a knee in Chip's new offense is Chip." – csdrew
