Women's College Basketball: St. Joe's wins in OT; Temple edges Auburn

The Hawks, who led, 56-52, with 2 minutes, 58 seconds left in the game, saw Detroit (3-3) take a 58-56 lead on a Jalesa Jones shot from the foul line with 6.2 seconds left.

In overtime, the Hawks took control, outscoring the Titans, 19-12, to improve to 4-3.

Temple 62, Auburn 61 - With a comeback that concluded with a three-pointer from the Owls' Brittany Lewis, Temple (4-4) edged the host Tigers (3-5).

Army 53, Penn 44 - An early 12-point deficit was too much to overcome for the Quakers (2-4) in a loss to the Black Knights (3-5) at West Point, N.Y.

Virginia 63, Drexel 54 - Kamile Nacickaite poured in 24 points, including a 6-for-8 shooting performance from deep, but it was not enough as the Dragons (5-1) came up short to the ACC power Cavaliers (5-4) on the road.

Widener 83, Messiah 77 - Kate Dellinger scored a career-high 23 points, including the game-tying bucket with 7.4 seconds left in regulation, lifting the Pride (7-1, 2-0) to a Commonwealth Conference overtime victory over the Falcons (4-3, 1-1).

Freshmen Jennifer Egee (Ridley) and Alyssa Wiggins (Kingsway) closed with 14 points each. Lil Carney (Lower Merion) finished with 10 points and nine assists, and Vanessa Hejnas (Delran) pulled down 12 rebounds.

Cheyney 62, Post 61 - Christalee Lynch paced the Wolves 4-3) with 14 points and 11 rebounds for a nonleague victory over the Eagles (1-6).

Haverford 64, Bryn Mawr 22 - The host Fords (4-3) improved to 2-2 in the Centennial with a win over the Owls (0-6, 0-4). Nina Voith (Germantown Friends) led the Fords with 13 points.

Swarthmore 70, Ursinus 62 - Ceylan Bodur scored a game-high 17 points as the host Garnet (5-2, 3-1) fought off a second-half rally by the Bears in a Centennial game. Lindsay Teuber (St. Basil) scored a team-high 14 points for Ursinus.

Philadelphia University 73, Bloomsburg 68 - Forward Kate Brennan (Sterling) paced the Rams with 23 points and 13 rebounds. The senior, who connected on six treys, needs 43 points to reach 1,000 for her career.

West Chester 74, Holy Family 69 - Alex Lennon (Shipley) scored a career-high 26 points and had a season-best four blocked shots to lead the host Rams (5-1) over the Tigers (4-2). Allison Hostetter (Avon Grove) added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Rams.

Cabrini 58, Rosemont 48 - Brittany Sandone (Souderton) led all Cavaliers (2-4, 2-1) with a game-high 12 points in the victory at Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Rosemont (1-5, 1-2).

Sciences 64, Kutztown 62 - A three-pointer by Colleen Christian (Central Bucks South) with 1:38 left put the Devils (3-2) ahead for good in a nonleague game with the Golden Bears (4-2). Christian finished with 11 points.

Montclair State 54, Rutgers-Camden 43 - Jaime Ericson scored 17 points to power the host Red Hawks (3-3, 1-1) over the Scarlet Raptors (2-4, 0-2) in an NJAC game. Senior Samantha Bragg (Lindenwold) scored nine points for Rutgers-Camden.

Rowan 68, Ramapo 59 - Lauren Gregg (Collingswood) scored a game-high 27 points, Gina Cantanzariti (Cinnaminson) contributed 14 points and seven boards, and Brittany Baum (Egg Harbor Township) pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds as the Profs (4-3, 1-0 NJAC) topped the host Roadrunners (5-1, 0-1).
