Penn loses to Marist

Offense sluggish in road loss.

PENN COULDN'T stop Marist in the first half and the Quakers fell to the Red Foxes, 76-62, yesterday in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

The Quakers led, 15-13, before Marist scored 10 straight points and 16 of 17. Marist shot 8-for-19 from three-point range.

The Quakers had no player hit double figures. Fran Dougherty and Tony Hicks each had nine points and Miles Cartwright had eight. Dougherty also had nine rebounds. Penn fell to 2-7.

Marist (3-9) was led by Khallid Hart, who had 21 points.
