Quarterback Tyler Ferguson has signed a national letter of intent to play football at Penn State and plans to enroll in January. He will be eligible to play during the 2013 season and it will not count against the 2013 recruiting class numbers.
The 6-4, 210-pound Ferguson threw for 2,614 yards, with 199 completions and 22 touchdowns in 10 games at the College of the Sequoias in Visalia, Calif.
During his senior season at Bakersfield's Ridgeview High School, Ferguson led his team to a 6-0 record when he suffered a broken collarbone and missed the remainder of the 2011 regular season. He threw for 1,275 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior.
