Saquon Barkley officially declares for the NFL Draft

Penn State's star running back declared for the NFL Draft. He will likely be one of the first players selected.

It's official.

Saquon Barkley, Penn State's dominant running back projected to be an early first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, has officially declared.

Releasing a statement on Instagram, Barkley finally made the announcement after saying he was undecided about his plans leading into and following the team's 35-28 Fiesta Bowl win over Washington on Saturday.

"I would like to start off by saying thank you so much for all of the memories that you have helped me create over the last three years, whether it be on the football field, in the school, or in the community," his statement read. "I am forever grateful to you for making my time here so enjoyable."
