After months and months of speculation, we finally know when Mike & Mike is going off the air.

ESPN announced the long-running morning show, hosted by Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic, will conclude it's nearly 18-year run on Nov. 17.

Ten days later, ESPN Radio will debut it's replacement, Golic & Wingo, which pairs Golic with new co-host Trey Wingo. Like Mike & Mike, Golic & Wingo will air from 6 to 10 a.m. daily and will initially be simulcast on ESPN2 before moving to ESPNU in early January.

Golic's son, Mike Golic Jr., will also join the show daily for an hour from 6 to 7 a.m. He is also slated to continue hosting his early morning show First & Last (minus co-host Robin Lundberg, who was among the 100 or so employees laid-off back in April) before moving to a yet-untitled new show at 6 a.m.

Fans will get a taste of how well Golic and Wingo pair together starting tomorrow, when the two host Mike & Mike together for the rest of the week. Greenberg is currently guest hosting The Michael Kay Show alongside Don La Greca on ESPN New York 98.7 FM.

"We're all looking for someone to grow old with," Wingo joked during the official announcement of the new show. "I look forward to doing that with Golic."

Greenberg is departing the show to host a new morning show on ESPN, which will go head-to-head with FS1's new morning show First Things First, which will be hosted by former Eagles wide receiver Cris Carter and sports talk radio host Nick Wright. Connor Schell, ESPN's new executive vice president of content, is reportedly a big supporter of the show, and hand-picked former Around the Horn producer Bill Wolff to oversee it.

The move has reportedly created tension on the set of Mike & Mike, where staffers described the atmosphere to Sports Illustrated's Richard Deitsch as "poisonous" and said Greenberg and Golic were barely on speaking terms. Both Golic and Greenberg deny things have gotten that bad between then.

"Regardless of what anyone seems to want to think, Mike and I are doing just great," Golic said in an interview with the South Bend Tribune. "I'm going to miss him. It's just that simple. The decision for me to go do a new show was one that was made by other people. It was not made by me."

Things certainty appeared tense back in May, when the two first addressed reports dating back to last year that ESPN was splitting up the long-running duo.

"The last year-and-a-half has been somewhat interesting if not eyebrow-raising, as well," Golic said during a somewhat tense announcement of his upcoming split with Greenberg. "For me, it's not my story to tell. I'm going to continue doing this exact same show. It's for others to tell who made this decision if they want to tell it and how they want to tell it."
