The NHL has suspended Flyers left wing Jody Shelley for two games as a result of an incident in Saturday night's game at Boston, according to Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren.

Shelley was assessed a major for checking from behind and a game misconduct at 5:08 of the second period following a collision with Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid.

As a result of the suspension, Shelley will miss Tuesday's game against Pittsburgh and Wednesday's game at Monteal. He is eligible to return Saturday when the Flyers host the Rangers.
