The swift and scintillating play of guards, small and smart, will lead top contenders to titles and entertain Cape-Atlantic League fans this season.

Ocean City senior Nancy White has league coaches mentioning a style of play that produced an average of 12 points per game last season. She is on track to break 1,000 career points.

Another potential 1,000-point-club member is Middle Township senior Danielle Barber. She averaged 13 points a game last season. Teammate Rachel Mooers, a senior, complements Barber (10 ppg.) in the backcourt.

Sacred Heart senior Kaity Lent and junior Ashley Durham (19.8 ppg.) propel the Lions from the back. Both are playing at a pace that will land them at the 1,000-point plateau.

Holy Spirit junior Jesse Frasier, an all-Cape Atlantic League player last season, is gunning for her 500th point. Absegami junior Ty Abilla (6.3 ppg.) is one of the league's best playmakers.
