Ashley Robinson, a 6-foot-2 forward and center for Archbishop Wood, has made an oral commitment to play for St. Joseph's University.

"I like the coaches, the campus, the girls on the team," Robinson said. "And for what I want to major in - business - I think it's one of the best schools in the country."

Robinson earned first-team all-Catholic League Northern Division honors last season while helping lead the Vikings to a 23-3 overall record, the semifinal round of the playoffs, and a No. 5 area ranking.

The junior likes the Hawks' style of offense. "It's kind of similar to what we do at Wood," she said. "It's up-tempo, the ball gets up and down the court. For me, it won't be that big of a transition."

Robinson, a 17-year-old from Warrington, said the runner-ups included Penn State, Rider and Georgetown.
