Central Bucks West yesterday announced the hiring of Brian Hensel as its head football coach.

Hensel, a teacher in the Central Bucks School District since 1993, had spent the last five seasons as an assistant coach for the Central Bucks South football team.

Hensel is a member of the Archbishop Ryan football Hall of Fame.

After playing for and graduating from Lehigh University, Hensel earned his master of education degree while coaching at Lehigh.

Hensel replaced Chris Felton, who resigned after a 3-7 season.
