Kevin Fahy, who led Gloucester to a 15-7 record this season, has resigned as baseball coach.

Athletic director Leon Harris said that Fahy stepped down to spend more time with his young family.

This year, Gloucester qualified for the South Jersey Group 1 playoffs and won a first-round game before being eliminated by Pennsville, which will meet Audubon in Friday's sectional final.

"Kevin did a terrific job for us, and he will certainly be missed by our administration and his players," Harris said in an e-mail.

Harris said that he had no particular replacement in mind and that Gloucester would advertise the position both within the district and outside.
