HERSHEY,Pa. - There was only one word to describe the performance of the Neumann-Goretti girls' basketball team as soon as they stepped on the floor of the Giant Center in Hershey:

Dominant.

From the opening tip to the final buzzer, there was no doubt as the nation's top-ranked team avenged last year's loss in the state final by defeating the defending champions, Seton-LaSalle, 79-34, in the PIAA Class AA title game.

Powered by A.J. Timbers' 20 points in a spectacular shooting afternoon from three-point land, Goretti finished the perfect season, going 30-0.

Sianni Martin, Timbers' teammate at Towson next year, scored 16 for the Saints, while Christina Aborowa added 13 and 10 rebounds. The dynamic Ciani Cryor had 15 assists.

Neumann-Goretti has now won two District 12 AA championships, two Philadelphia Catholic League titles, and a state championship in over the course of the past two seasons, going 59-1 in that span.
