Chris Edling recorded a hat trick as the Lansdale Catholic boys' soccer team won its fifth straight District 12 title with a 5-0 victory over Philadelphia Academy Charter in Monday's Class 2A final.

The Crusaders lost to Roman Catholic on penalty kicks in the quarterfinals of the Catholic League playoffs.

Lansdale Catholic will play Lower Moreland in the District 1/12 regional playoffs, while Philadelphia Academy Charter faces New Hope-Solebury.

Shimon Hilton scored with one minute remaining as Bishop Shanahan took down Phoenixville, 2-1, in the semifinals of the District 1 Class 3A playoffs.

Jake Frank also scored for the Eagles, who will face either Holy Ghost Prep or Harriton in Thursday's final at Methacton.

Faith Christian received goals from Jordan Cordi, Korey Schuster, William Bolla, Nick DiPietro, and Carlos Sanchez in a 5-1 triumph over Church Farm in the semifinals of the District 1 Class 1A playoffs.

The Lions will play Dock Mennonite in Thursday's final at Souderton High School. Dock Mennonite beat Plumstead Christian, 3-2.

La Salle repeated as Catholic League champions with a 1-0 win over Roman Catholic. The Explorers scored following a scrum for the ball in front of the net with less than 10 minutes left.

Chakra Wade, Seamus Hogan, and Yates Pendleton found the back of the net in Academy of New Church's 3-2 win over Westtown in the Quaker Cup final.

Girls' Soccer

Corryn Gamber's 22nd goal of the year gave Penncrest a 1-0 victory over Pope John Paul II in the semifinals of the District 1 Class 3A playoffs. Bryn McLaughlin made seven saves in net to pick up the shutout.

The Lady Lions recorded 12 shutouts during the regular season. Penncrest will face either Villa Joseph Marie or Lower Moreland in Thursday's final at Methacton.

Gianna Monaco scored in the second half as Archbishop Ryan beat Lansdale Catholic, 1-0, in the Catholic League championship game.

Ryan beat Hallahan on penalty kicks in the quarterfinals before taking care of Conwell-Egan in the semifinals.

Field Hockey

Megan Curry and Jade Orsatti scored as Archbishop Carroll took down Cardinal O'Hara, 2-0, in the semifinals of the Catholic League playoffs.

Mary Kate Kearney made four saves to pick up the shutout for the Patriots, who will play Bonner-Prendergast on Friday for the championship. Bonner-Prendergast rolled to a 12-0 victory over Little Flower in Monday's other semifinal game.
