Snow storm halts MMA event in Bethlehem

Mixed Martial Arts promotion Xtreme Fighting Events was told by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission to cancel its show Saturday night in Bethlehem, Pa. due to severe storm warnings, according to a press release from Go Fight Live.

XFE was set to host "XFE 32" at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, but PA State Athletic Commissioner Greg Sirb notified XFE promoter David Feldman that he was canceling the show.

"Clearly this is very disappointing for everyone involved," Feldman said in the release. "The fighters prepared very hard for their chance to compete tonight. Also its is disappointing for all of the 1,400-plus fans who purchased tickets to watch their favorite fighters compete."

Fans who purchased tickets to the event are encouraged to keep their tickets, as they can be used for entry into the promotion's next event in 2014.

"Though this is a disappointing way to end 2013, we are very excited about what 2014 will bring," Feldman said. "It will be a huge year for XFE fighters and fans a like."
