76ers post player Amir Johnson left Tuesday's practice because of a sprained right ankle. He will be reevaluated Wednesday and listed as questionable for that night's preseason opener against the Memphis Grizzlies.

With Joel Embiid already sidelined, the Sixers were expected to start Richaun Holmes or Johnson at center against the Grizzlies at the Wells Fargo Center. It appears that Holmes will be the easy choice based on being healthy.

In other news, Dario Saric missed Tuesday's practice, as he rested. The reserve power forward will not play in Wednesday's game. Saric is fatigued after playing for his native Croatia last month in EuroBasket.  The Sixers want to give him some time off.

As expected, Embiid and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot were ruled out of Wednesday's matchup and Friday's game against the Boston Celtics at the Wells Fargo. They still haven't participated in what the Sixers deem full-court, five-on-five practices. Embiid participated in what the Sixers are calling three-quarters-court practice Tuesday. He has been sidelined since January because of a torn meniscus in his left knee. Embiid had surgery March 24.

Luwawu-Cabarrot is overcoming patellar tendinitis in his right knee.
