Even after suffering a 9-7 loss to the Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday in their regular season finale, the Wings earned their first bid to the playoffs since 2008.

A win would've given the Wings an opportunity to host a playoff game for the first time since 2002, but they'll have an opportunity for revenge against Rochester in the first round of the postseason.

The Wings ended the regular season in third place in the NLL's East Division with a 7-9 record. The Knighthawks also finished at 7-9 but hold the tiebreak after sweeping the season series against the Wings.

Wings forward Dan Dawson highlighted a down night by breaking the Wings' single-season record of 100 points in a season by posting three points, including two goals.

Forward Brendan Mundorf also added three goals and three assists. In a losing effort, goalie Brandon Miller notched 28 saves on 37 shots against.
