Campbell's honors memory of first Black female employee

Campbell Soup Co. dedicated a conference room at their Camden headquarters in honor of Daisy Lee Riley, the company’s first Black female employee, hired in 1943.

While celebrating her 100th birthday shortly before she passed away last December, Riley said of her career there, “It was right in the middle of World War II, so I figured this was a good place to be. I spent 43 years here until I retired in 1986.”
