Gerhard Marcks’ ‘Maja’ comes out of storage and into its own park | Photos

Gerhard Marcks’ sculpture ‘Maja’ escaped destruction by the Nazis and spent decades on view at the terrace of the Philadelphia Museum of Art until the early 1990s, when the museum renovated the entire east terrace and she was moved to storage. Maja was finally moved to her own park across from the Park Towne apartments in Philadelphia on Friday, March 05, 2021.
