Fans of 6ABC anchor Jim Gardner gather for a tailgate party Wednesday to watch the final newscast of his four decades on the air.
Wilmington resident Chris Miko organized the tailgate event in the parking lot of the Target store on City Avenue, directly across the street from 6ABC's studios. The veteran Philadelphia broadcast icon surprised everyone by walking over to greet his fans before anchoring his final newscast at 6 p.m.
