Former St. Joseph’s forward Anthony Finkley is transferring to La Salle, he announced on his social media Wednesday. Finkley spent three seasons with the Hawks and played his high school basketball locally at Roman Catholic.
The Philadelphia native joined St. Joe’s prior to the 2023-24 season. He appeared in 31 games with 12 starts that season and averaged 2.3 points.
Finkley remained as a key bench player during the 2024-25 season and was a three-point threat for the Hawks. He averaged 7.1 points and shot 39.6% from three in 31 games.
Finkley’s stats regressed this season. The 6-foot-7 forward scored in double figures just eight times and averaged 5.4 points and 19 minutes across 35 games for St. Joe’s, who finished 24-12 under first-year coach Steve Donahue.
Finkley is the third player to join the Explorers, following former George Washington guard Trey Moss and Niagara forward Vice Zanki. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
