Former Drexel forward Deja Evans announces commitment to St. Joe’s
The former Archbishop Wood grad spent two seasons with the Dragons and will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Former Drexel forward Deja Evans announced on her social media Sunday that she has committed to St. Joseph’s. The former Archbishop Wood graduate spent two seasons with the Dragons and will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Evans began her college career at Albany, where she started 29 games for the Great Danes, averaging 22.8 minutes. She put up 8.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals for Albany before entering the transfer portal following the 2023-24 season.
The 6-foot-2 forward traveled back to Philadelphia for the 2024-25 season, joining Drexel as a sophomore. She started 29 of the Dragons’ 30 games, averaging 9.4 points, 6.1 rebounds. Evans also averaged 2.3 blocks, second in the Coastal Athletic Conference, and had a nine-block game against Temple on Nov. 23, 2024.
Averaging 9.8 points and 6.4 reboundsthis season, Evans was the third leading scorer on a Drexel team that qualified for the Women’s NIT.
