The Eagles finally received positive injury news regarding Jonathan Greenard.

The veteran edge rusher, who missed most of the offseason program plus the first two weeks of the season with a pectoral injury, was listed as a full participant in practice for the first time on Saturday. He was listed as questionable for the Eagles’ Monday Night Football game against the Chicago Bears (8:15 p.m., 6abc, ESPN).

Fred Johnson (knee), Hollywood Brown (ankle), and Dallas Goedert (knee) were ruled out.

DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Saquon Barkley (stinger) were full participants and will play.

Everyone else on the Eagles’ active roster is available to play in Week 3.

Greenard, 29, was sidelined throughout team drills in the offseason program and the entirety of training camp. He was recovering from shoulder surgery during the spring, an injury he suffered while he was a member of the Minnesota Vikings.

Barkley, who suffered his injury in the win over the Tennessee Titans last Sunday, said Friday he was “feeling good” after receiving an MRI to check for additional damage. He will sport a “cowboy collar” against the Bears.

Smith is coming off a 10-catch, 117-yard performance vs. the Titans. The Eagles will lean on him heavily as they try to get their run game rolling.

Running backs Tank Bigsby (abdomen) and Will Shipley (foot) popped up on the injury report this week, though they returned to practice Friday.

Earlier this year, the scenario seemed far-fetched, especially after the Eagles used a second-round draft pick on a tight end. Zach Ertz overcoming a serious injury to make a nostalgic return? It just didn’t feel like a possibility. Then rookie Eli Stowers got hurt in the preseason, and starter Dallas Goedert went down Week 2 vs. Tennessee. All of a sudden, the Eagles had a need. Now, the 35-year old Ertz has been tapped to fill it. The Inquirer's Jeff McLane explains how an unlikely reunion between Ertz and the Eagles came together, why both sides are hoping for more than a feel-good story, and which player on the roster could be affected by this move the most. Listen here.
