Restaurant Details
K’Far
The star of the show at Michael Solomonov, Steve Cook, and Zahav pastry chef Camille Cogswell’s strikingly stylish Rittenhouse Square café is almost certainly the Yemeni kubaneh bread — slow-baked overnight, chopped into thick slabs and slathered with something good. At the time of this writing, you have your pick of brown sugar ricotta, smoked trout, avocado, tangy labneh and more; sweet or savory, you can’t go wrong. Though only open for business from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., K’Far takes its cues from Israel’s all-day café culture, serving up chewy Jerusalem bagels, flaky borekasim, quinoa bowls, cakes, cookies and cocktails from morning to close.
