Former Jackass star Bam Margera is off the hook on charges filed in connection with an incident at the Radnor Hotel in August.

Margera, 44, faced counts of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, but both charges were withdrawn in Delaware County District Court, records show.

“Justice prevailed today when charges were withdrawn against Mr. Margera,” said laawyers Michael T. van der Veen and William J. Brennan in a joint statement. “It’s fulfilling to be able to help him get his life back on track.”

Margera was cited Aug. 9 after Radnor police received a call about an argument between a man and woman at the Radnor Hotel between 3 and 4 a.m., a source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the incident, told The Inquirer last year. Police allegedly found Margera to be intoxicated, and he was taken into custody and brought to the local police station before being released to a friend, the source said.

The withdrawal of those charges is the latest legal development for Margera, who still faces another ongoing case. Margera is scheduled for a court date Monday in Chester County in connection with an incident in which he allegedly assaulted his brother, Jesse, and made terroristic threats toward family members last April.

In a preliminary hearing in that case in July, Margera’s brother recounted the incident at the Pocopson home known as “Castle Bam,” saying that the former MTV star repeatedly punched him, causing his eardrum to rupture. Margera, Jesse said, also urinated in the kitchen sink and “smashed a bunch of stuff,” including a guitar that once belonged to rock star Billy Idol.

According to his brother, Margera allegedly threatened to “put a bullet in the head” of Jesse and their parents, April and Phil, and “put a bear trap” on Jesse’s girlfriend’s leg. After Jesse’s girlfriend called the police, Margera fled into the woods behind the home, court documents indicate.

Pennsylvania State Police later issued a warrant for Margera’s arrest, and he turned himself in to authorities days later.

Margera, who has long publicly struggled with drug and alcohol, has reportedly remained sober for months, as stipulated by his bail conditions in the Chester County case. Earlier this month, TMZ reported, Margera was injured in a skateboarding stunt, and later had a public argument with his fiancée, Dannii Marie, outside a Nashville hotel, allegedly over concerns that he may have snuck away to use drugs.

In an Instagram post, Margera and his fiancée responded to TMZ’s report, saying that they were “having a moment” outside the hotel stemming from stress over Margera’s injury and travel issues.

“I do not have a very good track record, and when I tear my ACL and MCL, all the fans, friends, family and trolls all think that I would be in the city of Nashville doing pills,” Margera said in the clip, adding that he has passed drug tests for his parole officer for the past eight months.

“Y’all enjoy it,” Margera’s fiancée said of the story. “We’re unbreakable.”
