Swarthmore is poised to get a new cocktail lounge and vinyl listening room inspired by the ones spread across Japan after borough council approved a liquor license transfer for it earlier this month.
Dubbed The Stylus Room, the intimate space on the ground level of new luxury condo complex 110 Park would have seating for about 30 people across 1,400 square feet.
The concept is the brainchild of Greg Hoy, the director of creative agency We The Collective and the former co-publisher of newspaper The Swarthmorean.
Hoy said it would predominately cater to borough residents, offering a high-fidelity vinyl system, crafted cocktails, natural wines, and small bites.
Read more about the proposed spot, which Hoy says will be a “communal living room.”
