Hillary Clinton rallying in Philadelphia with the Obamas, Springsteen, Bon Jovi
Hillary Clinton will hold an Election Eve rally in Philadelphia with her family, as well as the president and first lady.
Tens of thousands packed into Independence Mall on Monday night to hear Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton -- and her celebrity surrogates -- make her final pitch to voters in advance of Tuesday's general election.
Supporters began lining up before noon Monday, and by 7 p.m. the crowd had stretched about 1 ½ miles to 11th and Washington.
She was introduced by President Obama, who took the stage just before 9 p.m.
He stumped not only for Clinton, but also for Senate candidate Katie McGinty, who is locked in a tight race with incumbent Sen. Pat Toomey.
McGinty and Mayor Kenney had addressed the crowd earlier, followed by Jon Bon Jovi Bruce Springsteen, Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton and Michelle Obama.
"We are one day away from once again making history," the first lady said. "In just a few hours, we have the power to make her our next president."
Trump's campaign also made a final push in Pennsylvania on Monday. Mike Pence had an afternoon stop at Pennsylvania State University's Behrend campus in Erie. Just after 6:30 p.m., Trump took the stage at Lackawanna College in Scranton to deafening cheers, and spoke for about 30 minutes before departing for subsequent appearances in New Hampshire and Michigan.

The Clinton campaign is footing the bill for the Philadelphia rally.
Many of those still queued up in South Philly after nightfall never made it inside.
Rumors of a Trump-inspired flashmob made the rounds on social media, but as of 6 p.m. only a handful of Trump protests could be seen in the vicinity of the gathering mass of Clinton supporters.
Pennsylvania is considered a key swing state in the election, and both Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump have made big pushes in the state in the campaign's final days.
Springsteen's and Bon Jovi's appearances Monday follow other big acts who performed at Clinton events in Philadelphia this weekend. Stevie Wonder played at a Center City club on Friday, while Katy Perry headlined a night of celebrity appearances at the Mann Center on Saturday.
Monday's rally also marks Clinton's third consecutive day in Philadelphia, where her campaign is hoping for a big turnout in the heavily blue city. She appeared on stage at the Perry concert, then spoke at a West Oak Lane church on Sunday.
