ESPN predicts that the 76ers will finish last in the East in 2014-15

In news that could be considered the opposite of shocking, ESPN has predicted that the 76ers will finish last in the NBA's Eastern Conference for the 2014-15 season.

Every summer, ESPN's panel of experts run a Summer Forecast series that predicts outcomes of the upcoming season, including the best and worst teams in each conference, Rookie of the Year, MVP, and Champions.

After ESPN's first, and extremely early, mock draft saw the Sixers selecting in the top spot of the 2015 NBA Draft, it is no surprise to see the Sixers sink to the bottom of their conference rankings.

If the reported Thaddeus Young trade goes through, the Sixers will have little actual on-court experience outside of reigning Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams and will be in for another struggle of a season.

On the opposite end of the Sixers are the new-look Cleveland Cavaliers, who find themselves atop ESPN's forecast of the Eastern Conference, followed by the Chicago Bulls (No. 2) and the Toronto Raptors (No. 3).

Based on their roster, a struggle is ensured for the Sixers for the upcoming season. It will be interesting to see if they improve upon their 19-63 record from last season.
