The design-your-own-pizza game gets a new player in Cherry Hill on Oct. 8 when South Jersey-rooted franchise 1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizza opens in the Market Place at Cherry Hill (2000 Marlton Pike West).
The first 10 people through the doors at its 11 a.m. opening will win free pizza for a year. Also, everyone who stops in between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. on opening day and "likes" 1000 Degrees on Facebook or follows on Instagram or Twitter will receive a free 10-inch pizza.
The quick-fired pizzas are customizable from more than 50 cheeses, sauces, meats, vegetables and other toppings for one price. There are specialty pizzas, as well.
Unlike most Neapolitan pizzas, 1000 Degrees' has a crispy crust throughout, not the slightly undercooked center.
The company, founded by Blackwood native Brian Petruzzi, says it will have 80 U.S. locations open by the end of next year, including four shops in South Jersey, as well as one in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
King of Prussia and Philadelphia are on the list, as well.
