'Always Sunny' IN Philadelphia

The cast and crew of the FX comedy series are in town. Here's where to find 'em.

The cast and crew of the FX comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia have made their annual trip east to shoot scenes, mainly exteriors to give the show a hometown flavor. As I previously reported, they will be working here Monday, June 21 and Tuesday, June 22 only.

They will appear the evening of Wednesday, June 23 at an invitation-only grand-opening party for Mac's Tavern, 226 Market St. in Old City. Cast members Rob McElhenney, Kaitlin Olson, Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day, and Danny DeVito are due to walk a red carpet about 8 p.m. McElhenney and Olson are among the bar's investors.

McElhenney, Olson, Howerton and some production folks visited Mac's Saturday night and mingled with the locals.

As for filming info:

Day and Howerton will be on camera Monday, shooting a scene with Phillies stars Chase Utley and Ryan Howard at the Harrah's Casino in Chester.

Tuesday's schedule has been in flux, but at the moment I hear that the whole cast will be working at Maggiano's Little Italy at 12th and Filbert Streets (so the cameras will show Reading Terminal Market in the background). They'll also be at two locations in South Philly, both near Moyamensing and Mifflin Streets.

In previous seasons, Always Sunny onlookers in Philly have been respectful, keeping their mouths shut during takes and not bothering the cast and crew while they're working.
