Back by popular demand: Tiffin Etc.
Munish Narula has decided to reopen his Indian pizza shop on Girard.
Back in May, Munish Narula closed the Indian pizza/street food shop Tiffin Etc. next to the flagship location of his Indian empire, Tiffin, at 712 W. Girard Ave.
Narula had planned to open an Indo-Chinese restaurant in the space.
Now he's now says he may have miscalculated on the shutdown.
He is bringing back most of the Tiffin Etc. menu - kati rolls and Indian pizzas - starting today.
Next month, he'll add the Indo-Chinese menu. ("Indo-Chinese," as in the foods brought to India by Chinese immigrants - classics such as chile chicken, chicken Manchurian, eggplant in garlic sauce, crispy Szechuan lamb, and the spicy-herby fried-chicken dish known as chicken 65.)
Narula can do this because he has three kitchens in the building. "This will be one-stop shopping," he said. All three menus will be available for takeout and delivery.
