Badges of Honor Run is Saturday

It'll meet in Fairmount Park this time.

A bunch of Fox29ers are expected to lead the pack Saturday (6/5) at the second annual Badges of Honor 5K Run, whose proceeds go to the Survivor's Fund to help defray the costs resulting from the deaths of Philadelphia police officers, firefighters, and correctional officers, who die in the line of duty.

Fox29's John Bolaris and Dave Schratwieser came up with the idea in February 2009, after Police Officer John Pawlowski, who was killed.

It's an easy 5K, starting at Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park. It's $35 for on-site registration and goes off rain or shine.
