Center City District's next restaurant week will be in August

So much for the "fall" edition of Center City District Restaurant Week.

The popular promotion, one of the rites of September, is moving to early August this year.

It's now on the calendar for Aug. 2-7 and Aug. 9-14.

September is pretty much a challenge: a late Labor Day (Sept. 7), followed a week later by Rosh Hashana, followed by the World Meeting of Families Congress (Sept. 22-25) and the papal visit (Sept. 26-27).

"It was hard to find two consecutive weeks when there wasn't some conflict," a CCD rep told me.

The lineup of restaurants has not been set.
