Center City's Fado Irish Pub closes for an upgrade

Approaching its 16th anniversary, Center City's Fado Irish Pub at 15th and Locust Streets has closed to get a face lift.

John Piccirillo, a partner in the Atlanta-based enterprise, said the new features will include menu upgrades 'plus changes to our steps of service. We've been doing a lot of the same things for years and we want to up the engagement and fun inside the pub. To do that we have to retool a lot of the experiential elements, which has turned into a lot of work. We'll be switching out some furniture to make the pub more comfortable as well."

It is due to reopen about Aug. 25.
