City of brotherly suds: The Feury boys duke it out in beer

A little sibling action at work for Philly Beer Week.

Brothers/chefs Patrick and Terence Feury, avid home brewers, have collaborated with Bill Covaleski of Victory Brewing Co. on a golden pale ale for Philly Beer Week, in honor of their father, Eugene. The batch yielded 60 kegs, plus some bottles.

Patrick, chef at Nectar in Berwyn, and Terence, chef at Fork in Old City, will premiere the beer, "Fists of Feury," on June 8 as part of a special dinner at Fork featuring two courses created by each chef. It's $55 per person. (Details here.)

Terence will do the house-made charcuterie and a Lancaster County steamship round of beef, while Patrick will do edamame dumplings with morels, wild asparagus and summer truffles, and grilled herb-smoked seafood sausage with roasted Hoop House tomatoes and tomato water.

The beer will only be available at Fork, Nectar, and Victory.

Eugene Feury, by the way, was Fork owner Ellen Yin's sixth-grade teacher.
