Dim Sum & Noodle: Sang Kee's new Chinese spot near Art Museum

The space, a former chicken restaurant two doors from the long-running Cho Cho San, is spare and functional, dominated by a wall-size mural of a Chinese banquet scene.

Michael Chow of the Sang Kee restaurant empire has opened Dim Sum & Noodle - guess the specialty - near the Art Museum in the strip of stores at 2000 Hamilton St., near the Art Museum.

The space, a former chicken restaurant two doors from the long-running Cho Cho San, is spare and functional, dominated by a wall-size mural of a Chinese banquet scene.

Dim sum offerings include assorted bun dishes, dumplings/sui mai, scallion pancake, and fried stuff (calamari and flounder); plus rice bowls, vegetarian entrees, wok noodle dishes, and noodle soups featuring egg noodle, mei fun, udon, and Shandong ramen.

Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Closed Tuesday.
