Election-theme industry night at Amis
On the eve of the election, Amis' industry night will feature some election-theme food and cocktails by guest host a.kitchen.
David Fields, who operates a. kitchen, says he wants to underscore the importance of elections and hopes to raise awareness so that registered voters in the restaurant industry will indeed make sure to vote.
Among the discounted beer and cocktails: 21st Amendment Brewery's Brew Free or Die IPA and Bitter American American Pale Ale, plus Cayman Islands Punch and "You Didn't Build This," a gin and Chartreuse-based cocktail.
For free food, a.kitchen's Bryan Sikora will do Big Bird Chicken Ballotine; Horses and Bayonets (beef and brussels skewers), and 47% Rice–a–Roni (jasmine rice and sausages). The Amis dishes have not yet been announced.
Industry nights - open to those in the restaurant biz - start at 10 p.m. Mondays at Amis, 412 S. 13th St., and run till late. Admission is by pay stub.
Also that night: The Moshulu's chefs Anthony Bonett and Carmine Cappello are hosting industry night, starting at 8 p.m. Lots of nosh, including house-made charcuterie, octopus and tripe. Special guest will be Tony Clark, who has just taken the chef's job at Valley Forge Casino.
