Food trucks in Villanova? That's how you sell a mansion

Spot Burgers, Little Baby's Ice Cream, and Sweetbox Cupcakes have been contracted to feed the open-house guests.

Realtors often bring in snacks to feed prospective clients at their higher-end open houses.

Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Juliann Lange and Michael Sivel, selling former Sixers president Pat Croce's old spread in Villanova, will bring food trucks to its open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 17. (This may be the first time "food truck" and "Villanova" have appeared in the same sentence.)

Lange and Sivel have hired Spot Burgers, Little Baby's Ice Cream, and Sweetbox Cupcakes to serve at 835 Mount Moro Rd.

The food will be free.

The house, incidentally, is a flip.

Pat and Diane Croce sold the house on 3.5 acres in December 2014 for a shade over $2 million, according to Montgomery County records. (In 2013, the Croces initially listed it for $7.95 million before agreeing to the auction through which it was sold.)

The buyer is a limited partnership who updated the kitchen (it has 5 Sub-Zero refrigerators, an 8-burner Thermador range and butler's pantry with wine cooler, ice maker and separate dishwasher). Some of the six baths have been fixed up, as has the flooring.

It's now on the market for $3,969,000; see the listing here.
