G'day to the Aussie coffee shop Bluestone Lane

It's the first non-212/718 location for Nick Stone, a Melbourne-born, New York-based financier, who wanted to re-create the coffee scene of his hometown.

Saturday, Nov. 21 is Day 1 of Bluestone Lane Coffee, a New York-based, Australian-inspired cafe, which takes over the coffee bar at the Radisson Blu Warwick Hotel, 17th and Locust Streets.

It's the first non-212/718 location for Nick Stone, a Melbourne-born, New York financial worker, who missed the coffee scene of his hometown..

Bluestone serves coffee/espresso (using beans from Melbourne's Niccolo and San Francisco's Sightglass) as well as a light menu including the signature avocado smash, salads, a chickpea wrap, hot coconut quinoa porridge, gluten-free banana bread with fresh ricotta and pecans, and blueberry cardamom chia pudding.

The men at work behind the counter will also smile and give you a Vegemite sandwich.

The look, by Caswell Design Group's Julia Sullivan, is minimalist. She moved the coffee bar to the middle of the room

There are five coffee shops and one larger cafe, all in New York.

Hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
